Eureka Apostolic Faith Church –
The EAFC was in the news for the first half of 2009 over their desire to erect a lucrative Verizon cell tower. The citizens that shared the neighborhood were against the tower, but after Verizon threatened to sue the City of Eureka, the tower was approved and constructed.
Tower of Babel -
According to the Book of Genesis, humanity attempted to build a tower that would "reach to the heavens." But their motives angered God, so He destroyed the humans' tower, confused their languages and spread them throughout the earth.

Arcata, CA - The second largest city in Humboldt County and home to Humboldt State University, Arcata is traditionally progressive and left leaning.
William McKinley - 25th President of the United States who launched the Spanish-American War before being assassinated in 1901. A statue of the Republican stands in center of the Arcata Plaza.
The Philippines - McKinley annexed the Philippines in 1898 and they remained under U.S. control until 1946.
