2010 Eureka Smoking Ban - Like Will said. Passed on July 20 and put into effect on August 23 the ban also disallowed smoking within 100 feet of the Eureka Boardwalk or at festivals, events and farmers' markets. Chalk up another victory for Arcata.
The Shanty - One of several Eureka bars with smoking patios greatly effected by the 2010 smoking ban. In response, the watering hole hung a sign with the phone numbers of city officials behind the bar. Don't piss off smokers.
