![]() | ![]() Lemme tell you why this is one of my favorite comics we've ever done. There are eight seperate images in this strip, which is twice as many as my usual workload. But this took, like, seven minutes to shoot. Plus, I didn't have to bribe any of my friends to be a photographer. All in all, a great week for Seven-O-Heaven. Ironically, we found the sign that Will is holding in one of the trash cans on the Arcata Plaza and as I was taking the picture some guy yelled, "It's costs a dollar to use that sign!" Unfortunately for him, he had no idea how hilarious he was being. (That is, unless he reads this, but he didn't strike me as someone who surfs the web that often. As I was entering the credits for this strip I was shocked to discover that this is the first time I have ever had to give Will a photo credit for clicking the button to produce the first image. Apparently, up to this point, he's been too much of a star to consider stepping behind the camera. Figures. Finally, I want to end this week's stream of consciousness vomit session by throwing out a nugget from Jean-Jacques Rousseau that some of my friends have been discussing. I think it inspired the final panel: "The first man who, having enclosed a piece of ground, to whom it occurred to say this is mine, and found people sufficiently simple to believe him, was the true founder of civil society. How many crimes, wars, murders, how many miseries and horrors Mankind would have been spared by him who, pulling up the stakes or filling in the ditch, had cried out to his kind: Beware of listening to this impostor; You are lost if you forget that the fruits are everyone's and the Earth no one's." So there. -Andrew Goff |
