Hamburgers strip was so successful (in filling my stomach), I figured I
might as well just dive right in and shamelessly see how many local
restaurants I can bleed dry. Hey man, these are tough times and I have
a bully pulpit. I'm human. Don't blame me for using it. And as long as
I'm campaigning for free stuff, did everyone notice Will's snazzy
Moonstone Porter shirt? Uh-oh I think I see half of "Geppetto's" sign
prominently displayed in Panel 1. That's worth half a wagon, right? I'm
still not sure how the Lucha Libre mask is going to benefit me. Free
"Nacho Libre" DVD? I'm working on it.
I really like the strips that have some action in them, and I must say that Valerie is quite the actress. A modern Marcel Marceau, if you will. Not many people's reaction to getting mugged is to do the splits in the middle of the street. I might just have to post some of the outtakes on the Seven-O-Heaven Facebook page. Jorgen was good too. The image of him wearing that mask and my sweatshirt while carrying a tire iron has haunted my nightmares since our photo shoot. Super scary. I decided against using an actual gun in this comic, since I had this scenario in my brain where the actual APD would roll up and arrest Jorgen. Now that I think about it, that might have been worth it. Then we decided we would use a power drill. We forgot the drill, hence, tire iron. Another thing I'll mention about this strip is how it was beautifully shot by Johnathon Desoto using an actual camera as opposed to my usual Nikon Coolpix setup, a big leap forward for Seven-O-Heaven if you ask me. John's legit. Hire him. Where's my pizza? -AG |
