     With this strip Seven-O-Heaven made its first inevitable foray into the never-tiresome world of bathroom humor. What a long strange trip it's been. We actually had to shoot twice during the day of the Oyster Fest to get these glorious shots by the Porta-pottys since the first time we tried there were too many people lined up to pee (and maybe puke) that I didn't really feel like saying, "Yeah, you guys are gonna have to cross your legs or something, we're making a very important piece of highbrow art here. Back off!" No, we came back later in the day when the masses were too cold to hang out in the blustery Humboldt County summer weather. Wimps.    
      One cool thing I will mention about shooting this strip, other than Will's awesome Donkey Kong shirt, was the fact that while we were striking our poses by the poop stations, a guy I'd never seen before approached and was like, "Whoa, so this is how it all happens, huh?" Assuming he was talking about the Seven-O-Heaven production and not people answering nature's call, I'll take that as a an indicator that people are actually reading and enjoying the strip. Sweet.  

     The Oyster Fest itself was a great time. It really has become the Humboldt County social event of the year, if you ask me. I will say that it actually should have been me in that B&B. Kyoto Japanese Restaurant was serving deep fried oysters. I ate, I saw and they conquered... my stomach. On top of that, my buddy Mario got in a rather ludicrous fight with security over a dog.
