strip was the first one Will and I ever did, evidenced by the fact that
it is the only strip where I am bearded. Being long time College of the
Redwoods student, I can easily say that well over a hundred
conversations of mine have been lost to the black hole that is the
stretch of Highway 101 that runs parallel to Fields Landing. It's very
frustrating.
Now that I think about it, this seems like as good a place as any to go on a rant. So for several years, I was an indentured servant of Sprint/Nextel, one of the cellular providers that has a dead-spot between CR and Eureka. So what does Sprint do? They close every Sprint Store within a three-hour-drive of me and then have the audacity to act indignant when I want to get out of my contract. Justice? Anyway, since the production of this strip I have switched to AT&T and am happy to report that the Fields Landing Black Hole no longer ruins my very important conversations. If you have Sprint, switch now. They suck. For those of you worried about the repercussions, they'll prorate the cancellation fee they've been holding over your head, trust me. Eat it, Sprint! Oh ya, I like how Will's hair is flipped up in panel three. -AG |
